A gentle yoga class in which we will explore the body and nervous system through conscious movement, with the intention of focussing on our internal experience (interoception) of the practice. Oftentimes, pain in the body can be caused by tension and stress. We will work with the body and the breath to activate the parasympathetic nervous system to bring us to a state of calm, so that over time the muscles and connective tissues in the body can relax and help to alleviate pain. This class will provide a little time and space to feel into your body, working through a sequence of postures sometimes floor based, other times standing. There will be some gentle yet dynamic movement, and some softer movements depending on the exploration that week. The movement practice is followed by a long relaxation and guided meditation. Suitable for all levels, including prenatal women, those with mobility issues and those recovering from injury (chronic or acute).
To cancel or reschedule, please contact us at least 24h in advance (otherwise we will require the full payment of the class). >> For Yoga Classes: We require a minimum of 2 students per class. We'll contact you 2h prior to the scheduled time if the class is cancelled due to this requirement. >> We encourage you to bring your own mat and/or blanket, but they are also available at our studio on a first come, first serve basis. >> Fot the Yin Yoga & Nidra and Gong Song classes please bring warmer clothes: socks, a sweater, and perhaps a blanket (if you have one).
